Let’s Revisit the Coming Apocalypse

Jim Watkins | May 10, 2022

Apocalypse Soon

I found one, and it’s pretty interesting. Especially when you consider the implications.

It has to do with two eclipses spaced seven years apart, coinciding with two dates that, according to a new age religious book, both of the eclipse are timed occur on the exact dates Jesus was born and when Jesus was resurrected.  A huge metaphor that screams out beginning and end, Alpha Omega, start to finish, “behold, all things are becoming new.”

You may recall on August 21st in 2017 all of America was being dazzled by a unique solar eclipse, one that spanned the entire continent and brought a moment of darkness from coast to coast like a painters brush stroking a landscape. Not only did the first eclipse happen on Jesus birthday, but the second eclipse coming up in 2024 on April 9th, also happens on the date Jesus was  resurrected and rose from the tomb, on April 9th

How is that for a coincidence? Two eclipses, seven years apart, the first occurs on the date of Jesus borth, the second timed to occur on the date Jesus ends his life here and resurrects on high to take “all power.” Pretty interesting isn’t it?

The dates come from an obscure – but well respected and emerging in religious circles, a series of papers called the Urantia Book, published in 1955, translated into a dozen languages. The dates also correspond roughly with the New Testament. Scolars differ on the exact date of Jesus resurrection, but most all theologians agree it was in the first two weeks of April, it just happens that in the chroncil;e of Jesus life in the fourth part of the Urantia Book, it details the actual date as being April 9th. The same chronicle also states Jesus was born on August 21st in 5 BC (adjusting for the gregorian calendar dating backwards in time). Scholars know Jesus wasn’t born on December 25th, but they do believe Jesus was born in late Summer or Autumn because that is when Rome required all Jewish males to pay their taxes and register their citizenship to the Empire, the event that precipitated Joseph and Mary traveling to Jerusalem (as Mary was almost at child-bearing stage and didn’t want it be left alone.

This from the Urantia Book on both dates as it is stated:

Jesus Birth

All that night Mary was restless so that neither of them slept much. By the break of day the pangs of childbirth were well in evidence, and at noon, August 21, 7 B.C., with the help and kind ministrations of women fellow travelers, Mary was delivered of a male child. Jesus of Nazareth was born into the world, was wrapped in the clothes which Mary had brought along for such a possible contingency, and laid in a near-by manger. (122.8.1)

And from later in the chronicle of the life of Jesus, we are informed of the resurrection::

At ten minutes before three, intense vibrations of commingled material and morontia activities began to issue from Joseph’s new tomb, and at two minutes past three o’clock, this Sunday morning, April 9, A.D. 30, the resurrected morontia form and personality of Jesus of Nazareth came forth from the tomb. (UB 189.1.)

With respect to the solar eclipses, bear in mind these two solar events occur on those dates as the eclipse criss-cross across the exact spot where there sirs an enormous white Christian Cross. That’s a fairly interesting coincidence.

Pause for a moment to consider the astronomic chances a major solar event, timed to occur not only on two specific dates that perfectly match up with two of the most important dates in Jesus life, and that such an event would intersect seven years later at the exact spot where there happens to be a gigantic Christian cross.

That’s got intrigue written all over it.

But there is more intrigue.

Add to this, the cross, known as the Bald’s Knob Cross, is in southern Illinois, siting on the edge of the Shawnee National Forest, onetime home to the Shawnee tribe, an indigenous group famous for one prophet Tenskwatawa, the brother of Tecumseh, who once warned of the downfall of the white man, and to “stay clear of his ways..”

Whats interesting about this is the Urantia Book actually makes reference to this person, and to why he was famous, even calling him a “true prophet.”

From the Urantia Book:

Ever and anon, true prophets and teachers arose to denounce and expose shamanism. Even the vanishing red man had such a prophet within the past hundred years, the Shawnee Tenskwatawa, who predicted the eclipse of the sun in 1806 and denounced the vices of the white man. (90.2.9)

From Wikipedia:

“was a Native American religious and political leader of the Shawnee tribe, known as the Prophet or the Shawnee Prophet. He was a younger brother of Tecumseh, a leader of the Shawnee.”

Are dots connecting?

Here are more details.

On August 21, 2017 a west-to-east solar eclipse across North America occurred. It was a hugely popular event. There were parties and gatherings across the United States, and our media gave it its due attention. The date of August 21 is not insignificant to most of us, except for a small group of people who subscribe to the belief that Jesus Christ was born on August 21st.  This comes from an enormous religious tome called the Urantia Book, a book that purports to be a new revelation of religious truth, written by superaphic personalities of a high order of spiritual intelligence.

A fellow Urantia Book reader actually pointed out to me the varying dots, only I have added a few more. Connecting the dots further, the large Cross, 111 foot tall (1+1+1 equals 3, the Trinity) is next to a rather conspicuous place named after a tribe whose most famous member predicted over 200 years ago the fall of Western civilization.

I was first informed of this triage of events a few weeks after the first eclipse, much as I have described in my May 2019 article ‘Sign of the times”

What caught my eye in all of this is that society started to “quicken” away from stability (if there is such a thing) and towards a declination of stability since around the time of the first eclipse. A kind of “quickening” started accelerate soon after the first eclipse took place, and since that time several historical global events have occurred, many of which we are still enduring.

Trump was in his first year of  office, a tectonic political shift in American politics, and his presence brought the ire of many global opponents. While some of the results of Trump’s presidency may have worked in the favor of a stronger and more stable US economy, all was lost when Covid-19 hit and erased whatever gains America had in the economy, and began a series of chain reactions that continues to this day.

To say the world has become unstable would be an understatement; that millions of people have died because of a man-made virus – and our handling of it – hasn’t quite yet sank into the group- consciousness of the average global citizen. The fog has not yet cleared.

Society has endured a tectonic shift due in large part to the interdependence of numerous countries, all being affected by a pandemic of epic proportions, which led to a massive supply chain crisis still growing. Food shortages are actually occurring in countries that haven’t experienced this in over a century. Poverty has increased all over the world and see no signs of abatement in the coming decade.

As a result, tyranny in all of its shades and colors has emerged in response to unsettledness; people are losing faith because our institutions have been compromised by politics, power and corruption; suicide is up in the West, particularly among younger adults and teens, unheard of in the modern era.

Never in my life has it seemed more real there could be a total breakdown of society akin to the disintegration of Rome, both in the times of Christ, and in the middle ages when the Church began to lose its ecclesiastical grip on society at large.

Then the supply chain fell apart, fuel prices skyrocketed, massive inflation ensued, homelessness in western countries surged, then war broke out in eastern Europe, China is essentially a State prison. Ukraine, a major source of food for much of Asia and Africa, has been disrupted by Russians invading forces, NATO forces are dangerously close to igniting World War Three if Putin’s Russia conducts chemical or nuclear strikes; meanwhile US leadership is crumbled and confused, paving the way for massive corruption and economic collapse, all of it occurring in less than five years! It was a if a switch was turned off and suddenly the world became a dark place where humanity becomes tested to its resilience, where everyday people are being asked to make a choice between doing what’s right, or simply and what it takes to survive.  Fanaticism, race struggles, gender wars and cultural norms are being fought on the streets of major cities around the globe. Religious extremism in Africa and parts of Canada have skyrocketed, and particularly Christianity seems to be under attack on multiple fronts.

Even morality has fallen with the rise in crime, human and drug trafficking, and a general disinterest in marriage or child rearing has precipitated dramatic decline in Europe and America.

So it seems appropriate to consider whether the stage is being set for a reckoning, an apocalypse which could signify a new era of continued tyranny, especially if one defines an apocalypse as a breakdown of the established order, where a new order arises from the dust and debris.

I wanted to add one more twist to the story.

Is this seven year period between the two solar events a signal to an even greater astronomic event also about to occur? Is there a “separating the wheat from the graph.” Occuring where we might literally be seeing a rapture of sorts, a removal of a massive number of souls, perhaps timed to end during the seven year period, ending at the next solar eclipse on April 9,  2024, almost two-thousand years since Christ’s resurrection?

Let me draw to your attention to the fact that in 2029 a large asteroid  will be heading our way, and it is going to come so close to us some predict our orbital satellites could actually be damaged.

Scientists assure us this asteroid will miss earth by a whopping 23,000 thousand miles. That is one-tenth the distance between the earth and the moon.

But what if the calculations of this asteroid are off? What if, between when the asteroid was first discovered a few years ago and the year 2029, there is some very minor deviation in its orbital path that occurs, and as a result, over the course of say, give or take eight years, the asteroid smacks the shit out some continent or ocean close to a major population center?

What if?

The name of the asteroid is called Apophis, the Greek god of destruction, and it is slated to pass over the United States on Friday at 6:00pm ET on April 13, 2029.

You might want to write that date down on your calendar.

While I am intrigued at the myriad of contingencies I have laid out to you, coincidences really, I can only say this about my story.

The dates of this astronomical theatre are conspicuously tied to what many believe to be a revelation of epochal proportions.

As an aside, I am fairly convinced only a few people in the Urantia Book community are aware of these tethering of events about to unfold.

These are my conjectures as both a junior astronomer and a Urantia Book reader.

The Urantia Book offers no such prophecy about any of this, only dates that match up to real events, a coincidence, to say the least.

But this same book declares to us a warning of just such an age of extreme materialism, secularism and totalitarianism, and how it will not offer happiness, nor enduring prosperity to the human race. We will be crushed under the weight of our “supposed needs.” (Paper 195).

The Urantia Book, in paper 195, specifically warns  us that, “more terrible destruction is yet to come” if humanity continues down the path of material secularism, which led to more people being killed in the 20th century than during the combined period of the last two-thousand years.

Feel free to email me if you have any comments at and I would love to hear from you.
